This is the one shelf where the number on the card is about you rather than about the garment: the straight leg comes in 29, 31.5, 33 and 35-inch inseams, and you choose by how tall you are and where you want the hem to break on a shoe. A 29 sits above the ankle on most people, a 35 pools on the floor unless you are tall. The cut is a legging through the hip and thigh, so it holds the way the rest of the site does, then opens into a straight leg from the knee, which is why the same family answers to both names. The knit here carries more spandex than the shorts, a quarter of the blend, and it is the only family on the site that runs from XXS to 3XL on every inseam. The fold-over version has a double waistband you turn down to sit lower, and the two capris stop at mid-calf, one of them with pockets.

The hem has no turn-up to let down, so the number is the number.

Are VOYJOY straight leggings leggings or trousers?

Both, and the name is honest about it. Through the hip and the thigh they are a legging: a seamless stretch knit that holds. From the knee down they open into a straight leg with a hem wide enough to sit over a shoe. Worn with a long top they pass as trousers; worn with a bra they are gym kit.

What does the fold-over waistband on your VOYJOY pants change?

It is a double band you turn down on itself, so the same pair sits at the waist folded up and on the hip folded down, and the fold adds a second layer of knit across the stomach.
