The three legs on this shelf are bought for three different days. The straight scrunch legging is the gym pair: a 24- or 26-inch inseam that ends at the ankle, a ruched seam at the centre back, and a waistband cut high on most cards and deliberately low on one. The mini flare is the one people wear out of the gym; it opens from below the knee to a hem that sits over a trainer, in a 30-inch inseam on the family that prints one and a low-rise version at 30.5. The capri stops on the calf and is the pair for the months when a full leg is too warm. All three are knitted rather than cut and sewn, so the front of the leg carries no seam, and all three run XS to XL. A split hem on one family is a small vent at the outer ankle that lets the leg sit over a shoe rather than bunching on it.

Where does a 24-inch VOYJOY legging end on you?

Above the ankle bone on most heights: it is a seven-eighths length, and the 26-inch pair is the one that reaches the ankle. Neither is a full-length legging in the old sense, and that is the point: the hem is meant to sit clear of a trainer rather than fold over it.

Can you wear VOYJOY flare leggings out of the gym?

That is what most people buy them for. The leg opens from below the knee to a hem that sits over a shoe, so with a long top they read as trousers rather than gym kit. The knit is the same seamless nylon as the shorts, so they still hold through a class if the class is where you are going first.

Does the VOYJOY scrunch seam show under a long top?

It is a gathered line down the centre back, and under a top that covers the hip it is invisible. Under a cropped top it shows, and on the families that print "hidden" or "invisible" on the card it is knitted into the cloth rather than sewn as a visible ruche, which is the version to choose if you would rather nobody noticed.
