A mini flare is a legging through the hip and thigh that opens from below the knee to a hem wide enough to sit over a trainer. It is the pair people wear out of the gym as much as in it, and the reason it exists at two rises: the high-rise families sit at the waist and read as trousers under a long top, the low-rise pair sits on the hip and is cut for a cropped top. The capri flare does the same thing and stops on the calf.

The inseams are long because the hem is meant to reach the shoe: 30 inches on the family that prints one and 30.5 on the low-rise pair. If you are short the hem will pool unless you wear a heel, and if you are tall it will sit above the shoe, which on a flare reads as deliberate rather than short. Sizes run XS to XL on every card here, and the colour choice is smaller than on the shorts, with black and the dark reds and browns carrying most of the ratings.

Will a VOYJOY flare legging sit over your trainers?

At 30 inches, yes on most heights: the hem is cut to break on the shoe rather than above it. Measure a pair of trousers that already sits where you like it, from the crotch seam to the hem, and if that number is under 28 the flare will pool a little without a heel.

Is the low-rise VOYJOY flare the same pair as the high-rise one?

Same leg, different band. The low-rise family sits on the hip and is a separate cut with its own 30.5-inch inseam and its own colours; the high-rise families sit at the waist. Buy the low-rise by the hip measurement and the high-rise by the waist.
